Leveled Reading Assessment

What does this level mean?

Studies on early reading show part of providing an effective literacy program includes matching books to readers. Whether you are using leveled books for independent reading, for small-group reading instruction, or whole-group shared reading, a key factor in the development of readers is matching them with books that offer the just right level of support and/or challenges.
